Welcome!

The E. L. Johnson Nature Center offers 35 acres of natural beauty in Bloomfield Township.  It is the only natural area open to the public in the Township.  Owned by the Bloomfield Hills School District, the Nature Center is also an integral part of the curriculum for grades 1-8.  The Nature Center is open to the public 7 days a week.  Hike the trails, listen to the birds, visit the deer, enjoy the solitude and come away refreshed. In 2006 the new Visitors Center was completed and is open most weekends. The Center's website has more information.

Strategic Plan Survey

Part of the Bloomfield School District's Strategic Plan, both the Bowers School Farm and the E.L. Johnson Nature Center are working with Dave Catlin, our strategic planner. He has a short survey that he would like "Friends members" to complete. This is on-line (survey monkey).
